Pātaua Outdoor Education & Recreation Trust

We are building a practical and functional facility with a strong ethos of sustainability to give the best possible experience at the lowest possible cost. POERT Trustees and supporters have developed plans to modernise the current facilities. The projected cost is in the vicinity of NZ$4,000,000. Funding will be sought and secured from a variety of external sources – grants, sponsorships, bequests, private donors etc...  Working primarily with Scope, Hillcon, Donovan Group, Reyburn & Bryant, Onsite Wastewater Design and French Studio Architecture, excellent progress has been made. The plan involves the construction of new buildings; an upgrade of the current kitchen complex; a new hall and ablution block; new accommodation cabins; and a state-of-the-art wastewater system.
